Working at my desk
- Apple Macbook Pro 15" (Early 2013)
Absolute workhorse! Still eats my basic needs for podcast editing and web development.
Apple Magic Keyboard
2nd generation with battery.
Apple Magic Mouse
2nd generation with battery, and I don't have a problem with the charging port placement.
Belkin Tunderbolt HUB
The first generation thunderbolt hub that connects everything to the Mac with one cable. Had it for ages but it still works very vel, distributing monitor signal and access to Time Machine backup disk and long term storage disks.
- DELL U3417W Ultrawide 34"
Super cool and clean looking monitor. It has really nice color reproduction, despite a little bleed in the corners.
- Wester Digital 1TB USB2 Time Machine
Apple Time Machine backup. Not really necessary since I use a lot of iCloud and Dropbox, but it's more like a comfort feature If I should need to reinstall or migrate.
- 2 x Lacie Rugged 4TB USB3
Used for long term storage and mobile use as they have built in encryption. They are mirrored and updated on demand through a R-Sync script.
- Beyer Dynamic DT 770 PRO
Over ear closed back headphones for basic mixing and mastering work.
- Urban Ears Plattan 2
On ear wireless headphones with mic, for calls and video chat.
- IKEA Bekant motorised standing desk
I love to move around through the day, and the standing desk brings a ton of options. Instead of the normal table top, I have a custom top in dark brown wood.
- IKEA Markus chair
Decent chair to a fair price... I don't love it, but I don't hate it either...
- Unknown vintage (or just really old) architect lamp with Philips HUE
Setting the right color/mood while working in the dark winter hours is everything! I use "Colors for HUE" for easy and fast settings from the desktop.
- Small aloe vera plant
Small happy plant to bring a little green to the table.
- Toyota AE86 Tureno die-cast model
The panda from the Initial D anime series parked with popped hood.
